I hate Hollywood.Talk later..Packing
I'll do the 900 series one and it's all done.I think we should try things this way again.I also gives
others the opportunity to see a project come together. It also shows how important research is
when tackling a piece of history such as this. As always,a real pleasure Emel, Thanks a lot.
Thanks one more time Mick..Great photos especially in PM. Loved your arrows.

10 years agoFri Jan 24 2014, 07:46pmAdminHi Chris - great skins!
The C1 roundel on wings upper of the 2nd TAF units was introduced already in january 1945 (up to 1947).
I don't want to nitpick but i would alter the shape of the
fuse code letters of Clostermann's - especially the J - a bit closer to those seen on the original pic.

When I leave class I'll take my work home with me.
Your right. initially misunderstood. .
I will also do the real life Closterman aircraft. It should only take 15 minutes
Great to hear from you.

10 years agoFri Jan 24 2014, 09:13pmAdminHi Chris, sorry I'm so late with my reply and I agree with the others that these Tempests look great! I did spot one difference between your NV724 skin and the photo Mick posted and that's the size/position of the serial number; I think yours may be a little small so here's a crop of Mick's pic where marked the ends of the serial number.
If it's of use here's a scan of a damaged photo showing the markings of Sheddan's SA-M that I mentioned on the first page, just scroll down a little bit in the first post:

As for the C1 upper wing roundels, I thought they were introduced in January '45 but slowly as they were applied (usually by modifying the existing type B roundels) only when they had the time to do it.
