10 years agoMon Oct 21 2013, 12:23pmAdminIn the first three sub-campaigns it is possible to fly Japanese and Soviet fighters and bombers from the late 30s, like the Ki-27, I-15, the early I-16 models, the SB-2 and the TB-3.
I am sure everyone here will know the battle of Khalkhin Gol (called Nomonhan incident by the Japanese), but I guess not everyone has heard of the Lake Khasan/Changkufeng border incident. It took place in 1938 in a disputed area between the Tumen river and the Khasan lake. Hundreds of Japanese and Red Army soldiers died in this battle. The Lake Khasan sub-campaign is semi-historical, in reality only the Soviets used aircraft in this conflict.
The final part of the campaign will show the Invasion of Manchuria in the last days of the war, when the Soviet air force had a clear numerical and technological advantage over the few Japanese air force units in the area.
One of the problems I had when I build the campaign was the fact that we are missing many important Japanese aircraft from the late 30s, so I had to use the S-328 as a substitue for the Ki-4 and I created a fake Ki-30 skin for the D3A.

10 years agoTue Oct 29 2013, 07:50amLevel 1Hello
In the SB100 bomber campaign Lake Khasan, I always start in the air, no takeoff (though the airfield is clearly identified)
I am using the conf.ini file from Boelcke's MTO -
AdminI have just tested it and I am always starting on the airfield. Check if you have mistakenly disabled Take-off and Landing in the difficult setting.
