I am not a flight simmer (if that's the correct term) or a skin painter, but I have a great interest in aviation history and value the research reflected in the posts here and the superb collection of imagery.

I am a 78-year-old retired Army officer (Infantry and Northeast Asia Foreign Area Officer) who ended up teaching at the U.S. Army War College after a 30-year career and am now in my 29th year of post-military-retirement teaching and writing. Have published a few books on the Korean War, amphibious operations, and Northeast Asia security issues.
