And finally after nearly two years I have completed the 650 missions.
Has patch 4.12 made the game unplayable??, not at all.
In my opinion it has greatly improved it, the AI still have the upper hand and start maneuvering at 800m(unrealistic)
But as a whole you have to fly with more discipline.
VP's mod pack is a joy.

Congrats! In a time when so many games can be clocked in a short time it's great to see the ol' game can provide so much game play.

Its going to be a few months, before I treat myself to a new super computer.
So I have decided to fly another campaign, released as "Wings Over Waves".
There are four different campaigns,on the Cd, I am flying a U.S.Navy campaign called CATBALL
I find myself at Midway, flying a Wildcat.

So Midway is lost and I escaped in a beat up B-25.
What fun !!

From the last couple of weeks.
Over Tarawa, and now the battle of the "Coral sea" where I find myself on the Enterprise, and we just lost the Lexington.
The flights are very cleverly started off map so you really get the feeling of long missions.( awesome stuff)

After some setbacks including the sinking of the Yorktown.
We are now on the offensive, with an imminent invasion of Guadalcanal.

And after some very hard fought battles, Guadalcanal is in Allied hands.
