Description Lt. Hamilton "Mac" McWhorter III was the first F6F Hellcat ace of the US Navy.He joined VF-9 and was assigned to qualified in F6F's aboard Essex in February, 1943. He ended the war with 12 victories, once again thanks to the author of the template Ive been using.
