Description 'Indische' Spitfire MkVb 'West Borneo I'

Spitfire MkVb AD233 made at Castle Bromwich in Sept 1941 and ferried to 37 MU. Allocated to 222 Squadron on Oct 1st 1941 it was flown by Sqn Ldr H.T. Gilbert during Nov/Dec of that year. On Jan 19th 1942 Sqn Ldr R.M. Milne D.F.C. took command of 222 Sqn and also this aircraft (pennant on starboard side) until May 22nd and he flew this aircraft on many sweeps over Northern France, when Sqn Ldr J.S. Jankiewicz took command. Finally on May 25th 1942 during 'Rodeo 51', an operation over Ostend Jankiewicz was leading 222Sqn for the first time when they were jumped by a large formation of Fw190's over Gravelines, AD233 and Jankiewicz were both lost. This Spitfire was famously photographed in colour and was shown in a seriously worn state, with different coloured panels and paint. I have tried to replicate this the best that I can.

Enclosed are three skins, AD233/ZD-F, one with roundels and one with tail flash only.

Made with Jaypack's template with stuff added by myself.

Will fit all models of MkVb
