    The previously unidentified order is MSC Air Cargo's first for the 777-8 Freighter. The airline's first-ever Boeing airplane purchase will support growing demand across its regional and international network.

With a range up to 8,300 nautical miles (15,370 km), the 787-9 will support the airline's high-demand long-haul routes to the Middle East, Asia and Europe.

    Together with the additional options, the agreement provides the airline with the flexibility to support future growth while benefiting from the fleet commonality and operational efficiencies of the Boeing 737 family.

    The 737-8 and 737-10 will reduce fuel use and emissions by 20 percent compared with the airplanes they replace. On average, each new-generation 737 will save up to 8 million pounds of CO₂ emissions annually.

    The reduction in noise generated during take-offs and landings is another important area of environmental performance for the 737-8 and 737-10, particularly for people working at airports and communities in the surrounding areas. The 737-10 has the best per-seat economics of any single-aisle airplane, seating up to 230 passengers with a range of 3,100 nautical miles (5,740 km).

    Farnborough, United Kingdom, 21 July 2026 - Philippine Airlines (PAL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for nine A350-1000 widebody aircraft. The agreement was announced during the Farnborough Air Show by Lucio C. Tan III, President and Chief Operating Officer of PAL Holdings, Inc., Richard Nuttall, President of Philippine Airlines, together with Lars Wagner, CEO of the Commercial Aircraft business at Airbus and Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, EVP Sales of the Airbus Commercial Aircraft business.

    Once finalised, the new contract will double the airline’s total orders for the A350-1000 to 18 aircraft, of which the first two have been delivered this year. Designated as the carrier’s new flagship, the A350-1000 will enable PAL to further develop its long haul network, primarily linking Manila with destinations in North America. These include non-stop services in both directions linking Manila with cities on the East Coast of the U.S. and Canada.

    PAL has specified a three class configuration for its A350-1000 fleet, accommodating 382 passengers. The layout includes 42 suites in Business Class with privacy doors and fully flat beds, 24 seats in a spacious separate Premium Economy cabin and 316 seats in Economy class. All cabins feature the latest in-flight entertainment systems and connectivity.

    During the recertification, the Hornet tested Ebbing’s emergency aircraft arresting system at approximately 100 knots. The test verified that the arresting gear is fully operational and capable of safely stopping an aircraft in the event of an emergency, such as a brake failure during landing.

    When needed, air traffic controllers can raise the BAK-14 cable remotely for tail hook equipped aircraft to engage the arresting cable, providing a critical layer of protection for both aircrew and aircraft.

    Farnborough, United Kingdom, 22 July 2026 – flynas, Saudi Arabia's leading low-cost carrier, has agreed to acquire five additional A330-900 aircraft and 20 additional A321neo aircraft from Airbus. The agreement further strengthens the strategic partnership between Airbus and flynas and supports the airline's continued expansion across domestic, regional and long-haul markets.

    The latest order increases flynas’ total commitment for the A330neo to 20 aircraft and brings its total commitment for the A321neo to 56 aircraft. With these additions, flynas continues to expand its all-Airbus fleet, bringing its total firm commitment to Airbus aircraft to 235.

    flynas currently operates a fleet of 67 Airbus aircraft, comprising two A330-300s, four A320ceos and 61 A320neos. The airline continues to expand its network in response to growing demand for air travel in Saudi Arabia and beyond, supporting the Kingdom’s aviation growth ambitions.

    Almohanna added that increasing flynas' confirmed Airbus orders to 235 aircraft out of a total orderbook of 280 aircraft will further strengthen the airline's operational and expansion capabilities, enabling it to support the remarkable growth and transformation taking place across the Saudi economy, given the major tourism developments and global events that Saudi Arabia will host, including Expo 2030 and the FIFA World Cup 2034.

    The A321neo, the largest member of Airbus’ best-selling A320neo Family, offers segment-leading operating economics and extended range, enabling airlines to serve regional and medium-haul routes with greater flexibility. Compared with previous-generation aircraft, the A321neo delivers a reduction in fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions of at least 20%.

    Powered by the latest-generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, the A330neo is designed to fly up to 8,100 nautical miles / 15,000 kilometres non-stop and reduces fuel burn, CO2 emissions and operating cost by 25% compared to previous-generation competitor aircraft.

    July 22, 2026 (Farnborough, United Kingdom) — Today at the Farnborough Airshow, De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (“De Havilland Canada”) signed a letter of intent with Island Aviation Services Limited (Maldivian), the national airline of the Maldives, for the purchase of two DHC-6 Twin Otter Classic 300-G aircraft. The order will mark the first Twin Otter Classic 300-G aircraft to be delivered to the Maldives, the world’s largest Twin Otter operating market.

    The Maldives has relied on the Twin Otter for decades as the backbone of inter-island transportation. The introduction of the Twin Otter Classic 300-G represents the next chapter in that legacy, bringing the latest evolution of the iconic aircraft to an operator serving one of the world’s most demanding island aviation networks.
