B-24J Assembly Ship Skinpack

Description This skinpack contains several skins represeting the most colorful planes seen in the ETO. Assembly ships were usually older war-weary planes that were painted in gaudy colors (and sometimes had extra lights installed) for easy identification in the air. This allowed other planes from the group to find the proper formation in the soemtimes crowded skies of southeastern England. They did not stay with the group all the way to the target as most had all armament and armor removed.

Several of these planes were actually B-24D models. Since there is no such plane available in the game, I have had to make do with the J. I included a "what if" version of "Minerva" so the noses painted on the side wouldn't look too odd.
