Ju-52 Squadron Skinpack 2./KGrzbV106-10./TG2 MTO March-July 1943

Author cheruskerarmin
Description These skins are an 'aside' production of my Me323 Cape Bon skins. After creating some skins of this unit for historical accurate screenshots I liked the comparatively colourful paintscheme and decided to make a full squadron skinpack. They are made with a newer version of my template, including more details.

12 skins of the 2nd Staffel 'Kampfgruppe zur besonderen Verwendung 106' (=KGrzbV106 meaning Combatgroup for special duties 106) plus an additional Stab a/c (=aircraft of the staff flight) and six new MTO generic/nomark skins. All paint schemes are based on historical pics of the period March - July 1943 during MTO service. It's main task was to fly supplies for Panzerarmee Afrika (former Afrikakorps) from Italy to Tunisia.
On april 18th 1943 parts of KGrzbV106 were involved in the 'Palm Sunday Massacre' when during operation flax allied fighters shot down 24 Ju52 out of a formation of about 65 off the tunisian coast. Probably 35 more forcelanded due to battle damages.
10 Ju52 of this unit accompanied the Me323s of KGrzbV323 on 22nd april 1943
until the latter separated suddenly to set the fateful course to Cap Bon. KGrzbV106 became III./TG2 (third group of Transportgeschwader 2)on may 1st 1943 and it's 2nd Staffel became 10th Staffel TG2. Paintschemes and codes were unaltered until end of July 1943. More info in the enclosed textfile.

and thank you from me as well ,been researching the cape bon event to replicate this as a mission so these are very welcome.
And if I might add the community universal patch is worth looking into now you have braved DBW, so many upgrades you can shake a stick at.

As far as I know DBW is for offline and UP3 is for online, but I believe DBW must be installed above UP3 because it uses objects and maps etc from UP3 ...You should read here :

    Hi Mick,
patched my stock game up to 4.10.1 this evening. Everything seems to run well so far.
Now which Mod version to prefer, DBW or UP3 - or even both? Got no idea...

I still only use 4.09 myself, mainly because I just can't dispense with Tiger33's UV2 sound mod ... (I am currently doing my very best to try and convince him to complete and release his "evo" version that is a true killer ...)

Well basically you only need Storebror's "selector" and also create a "MODS" folder at the root of your game, and put the mods inside ...

Armin without mods you are really missing a lot, maps, effects, cockpits, new planes etc ..

Trust me with quality mods inside your game will become a totaly new experience ... %)
