P-47D22 57th FG Corsica 1944

Description On March 23rd the 57th began the move from Cercola Italy, to Alto Corsica. Corsica was basically a huge aircraft carrier for the 57th. They commenced their attacks on the axis in Italy from Corsica until Sept 9th when they moved to Grosetto, Italy. During this time the change from was P-47 razorback to bubbletop was slowly taking place.
